Early Beginnings
Russell Cairns Marine eventuated out of the owner's lifelong passion for boats. Growing up in coastal Port Campbell, Russell Cairns had a natural affinity for water and water craft. The business started when Russell acquired boats for a few friends. His knowledge of the industry allowed him to get very competitive prices, and word quickly spread that 'Russell Cairns' was the place to go for quality great prices and great brands from Surtees to AMF and more.
Our Staff
The business has changed and grown since the early days but the founding values have remained the same. All staff still strive to get the best possible service for every customer, just like Russell once did for his own friends. That's because all RCM4x4 employees are boat enthusiasts and together have over 70 years of industry experience and mechanical expertise.
Another thing you should know about RCM4x4 staff is that they ask a lot of questions (or rephrase to 'they ask the right questions.'). That's so they can pair you up with the boat that best suits your lifestyle, experience and budget. Plus, having extensive boating experience themselves, they can give you all the tips and tricks to help you make the most of your next adventure.

The 4x4 side of Russell Cairns Marine started similarly to the boat business, when owner Russell Cairns took up Off Road Racing and 4WD driving. It was only a matter of time until 4x4 accessories became a growing part of the business. Today, the business employs seasoned staff with over 30 years of 4x4 industry experience. They are there to help your to find the right equipment for your next adventure.
